My Mom once told me, “The harder you work the luckier you get!” I completely agree, but I have learned that it is not only luck that does the trick, but rather the culmination of prayer, effort and a positive attitude. My name is Andy Jacobson. I have been married for 20 years and have two 15 year old children who are sophomores at CDH in St. Paul.

I graduated from University of Wisconsin River Falls in 1999 with a BA in Comprehensive Physical Education (K-12) with a minor in coaching. I also maintain a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and a Catholic School Leadership certificate from the St. Thomas Seminary.  Through my studies I have learned that I am not perfect and my weaknesses are not obstacles but rather opportunities for Christ’s power to shine through me.  I am excited for the opportunity to serve the students and families of St. Ambrose.

I have a passion for helping students of all ages discover the joy of movement and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.  From a young age I have participated and coached many sports and played many activities.  I have a passion for teaching students and watching them grow into the student that God has called them to be.   I will forever remember a poster I saw in area high school, “the hardest skill to master is the one you don’t practice.”   Everything you do takes dedicated time and effort to complete.
