The Middle School years at Saint Ambrose Catholic School are a time of meaningful academic growth, deeper faith formation, and increasing independence. Students are challenged to think critically, communicate effectively, and take ownership of their learning while continuing to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Language Arts
Our Language Arts program equips students to become thoughtful readers, confident writers, and effective communicators. Through the study of literature, vocabulary, grammar, and composition, students strengthen their critical thinking and communication skills while learning to express their ideas with clarity and purpose.
Writing is taught as a process, with students developing a variety of writing styles—including narrative, informative, persuasive, and research-based writing—while also building strong speaking, listening, and presentation skills.
Mathematics
The Saint Ambrose mathematics program provides students with a strong foundation in mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking. Through engaging instruction, real-world application, collaborative learning, and hands-on experiences, students develop confidence as they master increasingly complex mathematical concepts. Science
Science at Saint Ambrose inspires students to investigate God's creation through inquiry, observation, experimentation, and discovery. As students explore physical, life, and earth sciences, they develop an understanding of scientific concepts while engaging in hands-on laboratory experiences that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Students also grow in their appreciation of God's creation and recognize their responsibility to care for the world as faithful stewards.
Social Studies
Our Social Studies program prepares students to become informed, compassionate, and engaged citizens rooted in Christian values. Through the study of history, geography, cultures, civics, and global perspectives, students examine the people and events that have shaped our world while making meaningful connections to the present.
Guided by Catholic social teaching, students develop an understanding of justice, service, and their responsibility to contribute positively to their communities and the world. Students are encouraged to think critically, lead with integrity, and become faithful stewards who positively impact the world around them.
